From little acorns…

When you look at global warming, it is easy to feel overwhelmed and think small gestures can’t make a difference. But the more little steps we take as individuals, the closer we’ll get to tipping the scales back in Nature’s favour.

There is no doubt that the glorious English countryside is in our bones. It is a remarkable thing to live and work around Berkhamsted and Tring, and a privilege to enjoy every beautiful corner of it.

In Autumn of 2021, we began our search for an ethical, UK based project to get involved with. Something which would combine our love of fields, flowers and forests, with protecting the environment for our children and generations to come. Something which would enable us to ‘do our bit’.

When we discovered the work that the charity Trees For Life are doing, we knew we had found it.

Their work over the past 25 years in rewilding the ancient Caledonian Forest in the Scottish Highlands, is now showing real results for wildlife and the environment, and we are proud to be part of something that can help leave a healthier planet for future generations to enjoy.

So, we have pledged to plant 300 trees in ‘Nash Grove’ by 2025 to mark the properties we sell between now and then. You can keep up with our progress by checking back on this page, and you can even add to the Grove yourself too if you would like to.

Admittedly, on a global scale, it’s a small gesture but, as they say: from little acorns…
