Cholesbury is one of four neighbouring Chiltern villages in Buckinghamshire on the border with Hertfordshire about 4 miles of Tring and 5 miles from Berkhamsted.

The village offers a wide range of recreational facilities with the nearby common offering miles of lovely country walks and bridleways as well as the cricket club and local pub. There are a number of surrounding towns all providing multiple shopping facilities and amenities.

Communication links are excellent, with the A41  providing a dual carriageway link direct to the M25 (J20).  There are mainline train stations in Tring (regular and direct service to London Euston in approx. 35 mins), Wendover and Stoke Mandeville (both with regular and direct service to London Marylebone in around 50 and 55 mins respectively).
