Staying Covid-19 secure.

The safety, health and well-being of our employees and customers is our number one priority and we follow the government’s safer working guidelines.

  • We have carried out a Covid-19 risk assessment and shared the results with our people
  • We have cleaning, handwashing and hygiene procedures in line with guidance
  • We have taken reasonable steps to help people work from home if possible
  • We have taken all reasonable steps to maintain a 2m distance in the workplace
  • Where people cannot be 2m apart, we have done everything practical to manage transmission risk

Visiting us in person.

Our branch doors are open to visitors although, where possible, please do contact us beforehand to arrange an appointment. Kindly note that if you, or anyone in your household, feels unwell or has experienced Covid-19 symptoms in the last 14 days, you should not enter our branches.

All visitors are requested to use the hand sanitiser provided upon entry and exit, and maintain a minimum of 2m distance between yourself and our staff at all times. Visitors may be requested to take a temperature reading upon entering and we regret anyone showing signs of a fever will be required to leave our premises immediately.


Property viewings - guidance for viewers.

We are happy to arrange property viewings, however we would kindly request viewers observe the following:

  • If you, or anyone in your household, feel unwell or have been experiencing Covid-19 symptoms in the last 14 days, please contact us to postpone your viewing.

  • maximum of two adults, plus ourselves, may be present at the viewing.

  • We regret that nobody under the age of 18 years of age will be permitted to enter the property, so we would ask you please to avoid bringing children with you to the viewing

  • We may request that you take your temperature prior to entering the property and we ask your cooperation with this. We regret anyone showing signs of a fever will not be allowed to enter the property.

  • Please bring a face covering with you as we will ask you to wear it throughout the viewing. 

  • We will provide you with disposable gloves at the start of the viewing which we would ask are worn at all times during your visit.

  • A minimum of 2m distance should be kept between you and us at all times.

  • Viewings should be kept to a maximum of 15 minutes, or as short as possible, depending on the size of the property. Should a longer conversation be required with our representative, this should take place outside of the property. 

  • We would ask you to avoid touching any surfaces in the property during your visit. 

  • Viewers are not permitted to use the bathroom facilities in any homes visited.


Property viewings - guidance for property owners.

We would kindly request property owners observe the following:

  • If you, or anyone in your household, feel unwell or have been experiencing Covid-19 symptoms in the last 14 days, please contact us to postpone any viewing appointments which have been arranged.

  • We politely request all occupiers vacate the property for the duration of the viewing, or wait in the garden, to minimise contact with both ourselves and the viewers.

  • We would ask you to clean and sanitise all surfaces within the property, prior to each viewing appointment. In particular, this should include door handles, light switches, keys and cupboard handles.

  • We would also ask that you clean and sanitise all surfaces within the property after completion of each viewing.

  • A minimum of 2m distance should be kept between you, us, and the viewers at all times.

Market appraisals.

We are happy to arrange a market appraisal of your property, however we would appreciate your cooperation in helping us observe the following:

  • If you, or anyone in your household, feel unwell or have been experiencing Covid-19 symptoms in the last 14 days, please contact us to postpone the appointment.

  • Throughout the entire appointment, we ask that the number of people inside the property be kept to a minimum please. 

  • We would encourage all occupants of the property to wear a face covering during the appraisal. 

  • Homeowners should thoroughly disinfect their home, particularly door handles and surfaces, prior to the appraisal and after the appraisal has taken place. 

  • Windows should be opened wherever possible for the duration of the appointment, to ensure the property is well ventilated.

  • We would also ask for your cooperation in maintaining a minimum of 2m distance between you and us at all times.

Photography and floorplans.

When the time comes to photograph and measure your property for marketing, we would appreciate your cooperation in helping us observe the following:

  • If you, or anyone in your household, feel unwell or have been experiencing Covid-19 symptoms in the last 14 days, please contact us to postpone the appointment.

  • Throughout the entire appointment, we would ask that a maximum of only one other person remains inside the property with our photographer - all other occupiers and members of the family should vacate please.

  • Our photographer will have used hand sanitiser immediately prior to entering the property. 

  • Should you be present for the appointment, we ask that you wear a face covering throughout the visit.

  • Please help our photographer avoid having to move your belongings, by tidying and decluttering as necessary, clearing surfaces and arranging soft furnishings prior to the appointment.

  • We would ask for your cooperation in maintaining a minimum of 2m distance between you and the photographer at all times.

EPC assessment.

If we arrange an EPC assessment for you, we would appreciate your cooperation in observing the following points:
  • If you, or anyone in your household, feel unwell or have been experiencing Covid-19 symptoms in the last 14 days, please contact us to postpone the appointment.

  • If the property is not vacant, all occupiers must vacate the property, or at least remain in an outdoor space such as the garden, at all times during the course of the inspection.

  • All internal doors & all windows should be kept open if possible during the inspection.

  • Access to all rooms, the boiler, hot water cylinder, heating controls, utility meters and the loft space (if applicable) should all be made readily available before the assessor arrives at the property.

  • If, when the assessor arrives, the occupiers are not prepared to vacate the property or remain outdoors, or the assessor should feel unsafe to carry out the inspection, then he or she reserves the right not to complete the inspection.

  • The energy assessor will wear disposable gloves throughout the inspection and will keep any contact with surfaces inside the property to an absolute minimum.
